Your Faithfulness To Me

Today at church the pastor spoke on being thankful. Not just thankful in words but having a thankful and grateful heart. It reminded me that I am not always thankful. Actually lately I have been very ungrateful. There are so many things around me to be thankful for. As I start my new eating journey I need to first remember to be thankful to God for creating me. The bible tells me that he knew me before I was born....he had the plan all layed out. I am thankful that I have my health. Yes, I am obese. Yes, I suffer from depression. Yes, I have high blood pressure. But I am so blessed. Right now I thank God for all of these things. He is in control and I had forgotten that. I need to constantly remind myself that I am not alone in all this.

Today we sang a song that just touched me deeply. We have sung it a lot but today it sounded different. It rang in my ears in a way it never had before. It is called Through It All. I had lost touch with this. It talks of His faithfulness to me...to us. Even in times of hardship, He is faithful, He is right there walking besides us.

I will be calling on God's strength. Not just as I work to make the temple he has given me healthier but in other areas of my life. I will thank Him for the good times and the bad.
