I had my green smoothie for breakfast yesterday morning. It was pretty good and filled me up. It had bananas, orange juice, romaine lettuce and some coconut oil. I did, however, find that i wanted something to chew on so I did eat some germinated almonds. It is all mental of course, there is no reason that I "need" to chew. The smoothie had a lot of substance to it even though it was just that...a smoothie. I kept my lunch to a vegetarian lunch. I want to eat vegetarian for all meals and snacks except dinner...for now.
I am very excited about all this. It is a bit scary sometimes and sometimes I wonder what the heck am I getting myself into. But all and all I feel good about it. The more I read and the more I talk to my friend who's family is raw, I am more convinced of the health benefits. People have been healed of many ailments and have lost lots of weight and have become just so much more healthy and alive once doing the raw lifestyle. I want this to work for me!
Two really good books I have read so far are:
-The Live Food Factor by Susan Schenck
-In the Raw by Carol Alt
“My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and my talents and I lay them both at his feet.”
